Porsche 918 Spyder (2015)

Porsche has updated the specifications of it’s 918 Spyder supercar. If before we knew that the car can accelerate from standstill to 96 km/h in 2,7 seconds, now we have been informed that the actual time needed for this speed is only 2,5 seconds. The 0-200 km/h and 0-300 km/h intervals have also been updated. The new 918 can reach 200 km/h in 7,2 seconds and 300 km/h in 19,9 seconds.

Powered by a 4,6 liter V8 engine and an electric motor, the new Porsche 918 Spyder is the fastest car around the Nurburgring, being able to do it in 6 minutes and 57 second. Powered by the electric motor only, the supercar can sprint to 100 km/h in just 6,2 seconds.

Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo (2013)

Mercedes has finally revealed it’s highly anticipated concept – the AMG Vision Gran Turismo, a 1:1 scale model of the supercar that will be available for download in the Gran Turismo 6 videogame.

Under the hood, the supercar is has a V8 engine, capable of developing 577 HP and 799 Nm of torque, power delivered to the rear wheels. Beside that, the new Vision Gran Turismo has gullwing doors, a total weight of only 1384 Kg and AMG high-performance ceramic composite brakes.

Mercedes S65 AMG (2014)

Beside the SLS AMG GT Final Edition, Mercedes has presented another unique supercar: the S 65 AMG. Powered by a biturbo V12 engine, that develops 630 HP and 1000 Nm of torque, the “monster” can sprint to 100 km/h in 4,3 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h.

Mated to an AMG Speedshift Plus 7G – Tronic transmission, the car has a combined fuel consumption of 11,9 l/100 km, making it the most fuel efficient V12 car.

Beside the high-performance composite braking system, the new Mercedes S65 AMG has multi-spoke alloy wheels, high-gloss chrome design elements and AMG sports exhaust system.

Mercedes is putting an end to the production of the SLS AMG model by making a special edition of this supercar. Called SLS AMG GT Final Edition, the car will be built in 350 units and will have the following specifications:

A 6.3 liter V8 engine, capable of developing 591 HP and 1000 Nm of torque, allowing the car to sprint from standstill to 100 km/h in just 4,3 second, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. In these conditions, the new Mercedes SLS AMG GT Final Edition has a 11,9 l/100 km fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of 279 g/km.

Porsche 911 50th Anniversary Edition (2014)

Porsche has unveiled the 50^th Anniversary Edition 911. Limited to 1963 units, the supercar is powered by 3.8 liter six flat engine, has a seven speed manual transmission and is capable of producing 400 HP and around 340 Nm. The U.S. version will be equipped with a power kit and a Sport Chrono Package. This package increases the maximum torque of the car to 430 HP. The European version can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 4,2 seconds, while the U.S. version, that has a dual-clutch PDK transmission, can accelerate from standstill to 60 pmh in 3.8 seconds.

The new Porsche 911 50^th Anniversary Edition will be presented at Frankfurt Auto show in September and will cost 121 119 Euros.

Lamborghini Aventador Roadster by Wheelsandmore (2013)

You all know the roadster version of the Italian supercar Lamborghini Aventador. It is powered by a 6,5 liter V12 engine, capable of developing 700 HP  and 690 Nm of torque. It has a seven speed ISR semi-automatic transmission and four wheel drive. All these features allow the car to accelerate from standstill to 97 km/h (60 mph) in just 2.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 370 km/h.

If you think these numbers are not enough, you should get in touch with the German tuners from Wheelsandmore. They took the standard Lamborghini Aventador Roadster and by performing an ECU remap and other modifications, they succeeded in obtaining  more power. To be more precise, 792 HP and 775 Nm of torque.

Mercedes-Benz S300 BlueTEC hybrid (2014)

Mercedes has unveiled the new generation S-Class and after a quick look at the stats, it’s obvious that they have raised the standards very high. The new Mercedes-Benz S-class has a short wheelbase version (with a length of 5,116 meters and a wheelbase of 3,035 meters) and a long-wheelbase version (with a length of 5,246 meters and a wheelbase of 3,165 meters). Through the drivetrains, the most eco friendly motorization is the S300 BlueTEC hybrid, with an average fuel consumption of 3,6 l/100 km (at least on the paper) and 115 grams of carbon/km. The other drivetrains are a S350 BlueTEC, with a 3.0 l V6, diesel engine, a S500 with a 4,7 l, V8 petrol engine and a S400 Hybrid, with a 3,5 l V6 petrol engine.

The S350 BlueTEC can develop 258 HP and 620 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6,8 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h; the S500 can develop 455 HP and 700 Nm of torque, allowing it to reach 100 km/h in just 4,8 seconds and an el. limited top speed of 250 km/h; the S400 Hybrid can develop 306 HP and 370 Nm of torque, which translates into 6,8 seconds for 100 km/h and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

This is the facelift version of the Mercedes-Benz E400 Cabrio. The German engineers replaced the old V8 engine with a 3,0 l, twin-turbo, V6 engine, capable of developing 333 HP and 480 Nm of torque. In other words, the new convertible can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in just 5,3 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. There are also some other engine options, like the 2,0 l four-cylinder petrol, two four-cylinder diesels or the sic-cylinder E350. As you know (or maybe you don’t), the E class has no AMG version, but you can get the Sport trim for 2 435 pounds.

Volkswagen Design Vision GTI Concept (2013)

The new Volkswagen Design Vision GTI has been unveiled at Worthersee and it;s looking very good. Based on the well known Volkswagen Golf GTI, the new concept has a better design, consisting of a new front fascia with LED lights, a new front splitter, side blades, a new rear bumper and 20 inch alloy wheels.

The new Design Vision GTI is powered by a 3,0 liter V6 twin turbo engine, capable of developing 503 HP and 560 Nm of torque. This allows the car to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in just 3,9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 300 km/h. Porsche Panamera E-Hybrid (2014)

Are you a Porsche fan? In this case, you have to know that the German automaker has released information regarding the new Panamera and Panamera E-Hybrid. The hybrid version has a 3,0 liter V6 engine that together with an electric motor can generate 410 HP, allowing the four-door car to reach a top speed of 269 km/h. If it would run only on the electric motor, it could reach a top speed of 133 km/h  and could travel for 17 – 35 km. As for the Panamera 4 and Panamera 4-S, both have a 3.0 l, V6, twin-turbo engine, capable of developing 413 HP and 521 Nm of torque. If you want to buy one you have to wait until July and you will need  88 513 EUR for Panamera 4 and 110 409 EUR for the Panamera S E-Hybrid.

Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG (2013)

It has a 2.0 l, 4 cylinder, turbo engine, it can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in just 4,6 seconds and it costs 56 078 Euro. What car is it?

I’m talking about the new Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG, the one that has been unveiled at New York Auto Show these days. So, as I have said, it has a 2,0 l turbo engine, that can develop 360 HP and 450 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4,6 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. When the controlled efficiency mode is activated, the stop/start function turns on and the fuel consumption is a priority (6,9 l /100 km). If you live in Europe and you want one, you will have to wait until July, when it will be available in the German dealerships with a price starting from 56 078 EUR (71 981 USD). Americans are luckier, because for them it will be available this spring with a price starting from 47 450 USD (37 067 EUR).

Audi A3 Sedan (2014)

Ladies and gentleman, the new Audi A3 sedan has been revealed. There are four motorizations available: a 1.4 l TFSI, a 1.8 l TFSI, a 2.0 l TFSI and a 2,0 l TDI. The last one is presented in the data sheet below and can develop 150 HP and 320 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8,7 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 220 km/h.

The 1,4 l TFSI engine can develop 140 HP and 250 Nm of torque, the 1.8 l TFSI up tp 170 HP and 250 Nm of torque, while for the most powerful gasoline engine, the 2.0 l TFSI, the information has not been revealed yet.

Beside the A3, there is also a new Audi S3, with a 2.0 liter TSFI engine, capable of generating 300 HP and 380 Nm of torque. This power allows the car to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in just 4,9 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

The brand new Audi A3 will be available in stores this spring.

Audi R8 GTR by ABT (2013)

The famous Audi R8 GTR will receive a tuning package from ABT that will be presented at Geneva Motor Show. The standard Audi R8 GTR is powered by a 5.2 liter V10 engine, able to develop 550 HP and 540 Nm. After the tuners from ABT “played” with the supercar, the engine can produce 620 HP and 550 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in just 3,2 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 325 km/h.

 The package also includes carbon fiber side skirts, hood, front and rear apron, rear wing, adjustable front splitter, stainless steel exhaust system, sports suspension and 19 inch alloy wheels.

Volkswagen Golf VII GTI (2013)

If a few days ago Volkswagen presented the new Golf GTD, now it is the time for the new VW Golf GTI to be revealed. Powered by a 2,0 liter, 4 cylinder, turbocharged engine, the German car has two versions: one with 217 HP and one with 227 HP. The more powerful version can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6,4 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h.

The standard package includes a 6 speed manual transmission, but an optional 6 speed DSG is also available. The GTI package also includes red accent line on the grille, extended into the headlamps, honeycomb grille inserts, smoked tail lamps, rear spoiler, twin pipes, side sills, a diffuser and 17 inch alloy wheels.

Brabus 800 Roadster - Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG (2013)

The powerful Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Roadster has received a tuning kit from the famous Brabus, called Brabus 800. Starting from a 6,0 l V12 engine that used to produce 630 HP and 1000 Nm of torque, they managed to obtain 800 HP and 1420 Nm, limited to 1100 Nm,

If before the upgrade, the car accelerated from standstill to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds, after the upgrade the new Brabus 800 needs 0.3 seconds less and can reach an electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h.

Beside the power upgrade, the kit includes a carbon fiber body kit, 20 inch alloy rims with high performance tires, a limited-slip differential and a customized interior.

Audi RS Q3 (2014)

Before presenting it at Geneva Motor Show, the German car manufacturers from Audi have revealed the new RS Q3 model. It has a 2.5 liter turbocharged engine that can produce 310 HP and 420 Nm of torque. Thanks to this power, the new Audi RS Q3 can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 5,5 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. Volkswagen Golf VII GTD (2013)

Before its debut, next month at the Geneva Motor Show, the new Volkswagen Golf VII GTD has been revealed by the Germans. Powered by a 2 liter, 4 cylinder engine, the new Golf GTD can develop 181 HP and 379 Nm of torque. In other words, the car can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in 7,5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 230 km/h.

 The standard version includes a 6 speed manual transmission, but you can change it with a dual-clutch 6 speed DSG. Volkswagen Golf has a new R Cabriolet version. You would expect it to be a Golf VII R Cabrio, but no, it’s the sixth generation that got the top off. It has a 2,0 l, 4-cylinder motor that can generate 265 HP and 350 Nm, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6,4 seconds, before reaching the electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h.

 With a price that begins at 38 770 pounds in the UK and 43 325 EUR in Germany, the new Volkswagen Golf VI R Cabriolet offers a 25 mm lowered suspension, bi-xenon headlights, LED DRLs, side sill extensions, chrome-tipped exhausts, glossy black rear diffuser and mirror hounsings. Oh, and don’t forget about the rims. You get 18 or 19 inch alloy wheels.

After debuting as a safety car in the Belgian Grand Prix, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT has been offered to the customers. Thanks to it’s 6.3 l V8 engine and to the optimized AMG Speedshift DCT 7 speed transmission, the supercar develops 591 HP and 650 Nm of torque. This allows it to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 11.2 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 320 km/h.

The new SLS AMG GT has been updated with the AMG Ride Control performance suspension, that combines the sophisticated suspension layout with twin aluminum wishbones, enhancing the car’s sportiness.

Audi RS6 Avant C7 (2014)

Being the main competitor for Mercedes’ E63 AMG Estate, the new Audi RS6 Avant has a smaller engine compared with it’s predecesor. But this doesn’t mean that it’s weeker. With 560 HP and 700 Nm of torque, the new Audi RS6 Avant can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 305 km/h. More data in the spec sheet below.
