Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG (2013)

It has a 2.0 l, 4 cylinder, turbo engine, it can accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in just 4,6 seconds and it costs 56 078 Euro. What car is it?
I’m talking about the new Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG, the one that has been unveiled at New York Auto Show these days. So, as I have said, it has a 2,0 l turbo engine, that can develop 360 HP and 450 Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4,6 seconds, before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h. When the controlled efficiency mode is activated, the stop/start function turns on and the fuel consumption is a priority (6,9 l /100 km). If you live in Europe and you want one, you will have to wait until July, when it will be available in the German dealerships with a price starting from 56 078 EUR (71 981 USD). Americans are luckier, because for them it will be available this spring with a price starting from 47 450 USD (37 067 EUR).

Brabus 800 Roadster - Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG (2013)


The powerful Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Roadster has received a tuning kit from the famous Brabus, called Brabus 800. Starting from a 6,0 l V12 engine that used to produce 630 HP and 1000 Nm of torque, they managed to obtain 800 HP and 1420 Nm, limited to 1100 Nm,
If before the upgrade, the car accelerated from standstill to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds, after the upgrade the new Brabus 800 needs 0.3 seconds less and can reach an electronically limited top speed of 350 km/h.

Beside the power upgrade, the kit includes a carbon fiber body kit, 20 inch alloy rims with high performance tires, a limited-slip differential and a customized interior.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT (2013)


After debuting as a safety car in the Belgian Grand Prix, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT has been offered to the customers. Thanks to it’s 6.3 l V8 engine and to the optimized AMG Speedshift DCT 7 speed transmission, the supercar develops 591 HP and 650 Nm of torque. This allows it to accelerate from standstill to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 11.2 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 320 km/h.
The new SLS AMG GT has been updated with the AMG Ride Control performance suspension, that combines the sophisticated suspension layout with twin aluminum wishbones, enhancing the car’s sportiness.

 Since its world premiere at the IAA International Motor Show in Frankfurt in 2009 and the presentation of the SLS AMG Roadster in May 2011, the super sports car from Mercedes-AMG has picked up a total of 40 awards - including such major prizes as the "German Design Award", the "Red Dot Design Award", the "Golden Steering Wheel 2009", "Classic of the Future", "Sports Car of the Year", "Best Performance Car" and "Legends on Wheels".”
If you want one, you have to pay 204 680 EUR for the SLS AMG GT, 213 010 EUR for the SLS AMG GT Roadster and an extra 5 771 EUR for the AMG designo Exclusive Style leather.

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Edition 507 (2014)


The Germans from Mercedes-Benz have prepared a special edition for the new C 63 AMG, called, Edition 507, that will be introduced this year at Geneva. Tha maximum power of the car has been increased with 50 HP, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds. All this performance boost was obtained through the technology transfer from the SLS AMG model.

Other modifications include the bonnet, borrowed from the C63 AMG Coupe Black Series, light-alloy cross-spoke wheels, available in titanium grey or matt black, AMG sports stripes in matt graphite grey, the spoiler lip, exterior mirror housings and the surrounds on the radiator grille and daytime driving lights, in high-gloss black, and darkened headlamps.
The sale release will begin on 8 April and the market launch in Germany will be inaugurated in June 2013.

Brabus 800 Widestar (2013)


800 Widestar is the result of Brabus’ latest work on the 2013 Mercedes –Benz G65 AMG. The car has a maximum torque of 1420 Nm, but it is electronically limited to 1100 Nm. The top speed of 270 km/h is also electronically limited to 250 km/h. More details can be found in the data sheet below.

 The G-Class Mercedes has also received a wide body kit and 23 inch wheels that can be seen in the pictures. Another option to the package is the electrically-adjustable ride control suspension.

Mercedes Benz SLS AMG MC700 (2013)


Another tuning package for Mercedes SLS AMG was created by the Germans from McChip. By installing a new exhaust system, sports catalytic converters and by performing engine software modifications, they increased the power and the torque of the car. More details in the data sheet below.

 Normally, the car needs 3,6 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h and can reach a maximum speed of 340 km/h, having a consumption of 13,8 l/100 km. With the tuning package the time needed to reach 100 km/h should be less, the maximum speed should be higher and the consumption should be bigger.
The power upgrade costs 78,999 EUR.

Mercedes-Benz CLA Class (2014)

The brand new Mercedes Benz CLA Class has been presented at the North American International Auto Show. More details about the most powerful engine can be seen in the data sheet below.

There is also another petrol engine (1,6 l), the CLA 180, capable of generating 122 hp and 200 Nm and a diesel engine (2,2 l), the CLA 220 CDI, delivering 170 hp and 350 Nm. It will be available for order from March 2013.

Mercedes CLS63 AMG Coupe (2014)

There is also a S-Model of the CLS 63 AMG, with 585 hp and up to 800 Nm of torque. This one needs only 3.5 second to reach 100 km/h and has a consumption of 10,4 – 10,6 liters per 100 km.
